Delete your MyTeenCare account
You can permanently delete your family’s MyTeenCare account and the data in it. This page explains what happens, and is where you do it.
Delete this account
Please read this before you delete. It cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way to restore the account afterwards.
- Every conversation, journal entry, check-in, Homework Help session and progress record in your family will be erased within 30 days.
- If a safety concern was ever raised, that safety record is kept until your teen turns 21. Deleting your account does not erase it, and we cannot erase it on request. We explain why in our Privacy Policy.
- Security and access logs are kept for one year, as Indian law requires.
- Your teenager can read their own writing until it is erased, and will be told the account is closing.
Please sign in to delete. Only the parent who owns this account can close it. Sign in as that parent, then return to this page.
Who can delete the account
Only the parent or guardian who created the family account can delete it. A teenager cannot close the account, and cannot be asked to. This is deliberate: the account holds another person’s data as well as their own.
If you are a teenager who wants your data removed, or you are worried about your account, write to us at Contact@northneuron.com and we will help. If you are in immediate danger, call 112, or 1098 for Childline.
What is deleted
Within 30 days we erase every conversation with the companion, every journal entry and attached photo, every check-in and its private notes, Homework Help sessions and photos, companion memory and preferences, progress and badge records, the wellbeing signals and parent summaries derived from them, your family’s registration details, and all signed-in devices.
We do not keep a copy under an “anonymised” label. Records derived from your teenager’s writing are erased with it.
What is kept, and why
Safety records, until your teen turns 21. If a high-concern safety case was ever raised, we keep the structured record of it: what was detected, when, the risk level, what action was taken and who was notified. We do not keep the conversation or journal entry behind it.
We keep it because a legal claim by someone who was a child can be brought until they are 21, and because destroying a record of a child protection concern is not something we are willing or permitted to do. This does not rest on your consent, which is why withdrawing consent by deleting your account does not reach it, and why we cannot erase it on request.
Security and access logs, for one year, as Indian data protection rules require. Proof that parental consent was given, because we have to be able to show it was.
